Fluconazole 0.3% Eye Drop Use
This medication is used to treat eye infections by killing harmful fungi present inside our eyes. It works by destroying the cell membrane of the fungi in the eye, which relieves pain, itchiness, and irritation. Fungi and infections of the eyes are very common nowadays, so the requirement for the best treatment is increasing day by day. This medication is specially designed for proper fungi treatment of the eye. It is used for external use only and should be taken as directed by your doctor. Before and after application, wash your hands. Place the medicine inside your lower eyelid and wipe off any extra liquid. It is important to take the medicine regularly to get the best results. If you forget to take the medicine, take it right away. If it is almost time to take the next dose, skip it and go back to the regular schedule. Use the medicine for as long as your doctor tells you and let them know if your condition doesn’t improve after two or four weeks of treatment. Directions to Use
- The amount and duration of your treatment will vary depending on the type of infection you are receiving. Make sure you finish the treatment course. This will help to get rid of the infections completely and stop them from coming back.
- Use this medication for the particular time directed by your medical healthcare provider, Do not take the medication for a longer time than the prescribed period.
- Use the exact quantity that is prescribed for you, do not use more quantity, it will not cure your problem and make the problem worsen.
- Do not stop applying this medication earlier, it can cause the return of the stronger infection.
- Place the dropper near the eyes without touching the eye. Squeeze the dropper. Insert the medicine into the bottom eyelid. Remove excess liquid.
Side Effects
Some possible side effects can occur but do not always happen. Some of these side effects are rare but serious. The list below is not complete. These side effects may cause irritation and a burning sensation immediately after application. They are temporary and usually go away or disappear on their own. If these side effects persist for an extended period, please inform your doctor.
- Indigestion
- Burning sensation of skin
- Abdominal pain
- Increased blood levels of certain chemicals
- Abnormal Sensation of tingling
Precautions
- Close your eyes for about 1 to 2 minutes to avoid sudden sensation of irritation.
- Store this medication away from Sunlite and reach the pets and children in a cold and dry place.
- Tell your doctor about the history of your medical condition, and about the medicines you are using currently.
- Tell your doctor if you are a pregnant or breastfeeding mother, and also if you are planning to be a mother.
- Do not use contact lenses after applying Fluconazole 0.3%, as it can irritate.
- It can cause dizziness and headaches, so do not operate heavy vehicles or types of machinery.
- If you miss the drop then skip the dose, do not double the dosage. Follow your daily schedule.
