SODIUM ACID PHOSPHATE is used in the treatment of high blood calcium that are generated by hyperparathyroidism(overactive parathyroid glands) and multiple myelomatosis(blood cancer).Moreover ,Sodium Acid Phosphate is also used in the treatment of low level of potassium in the blood which is caused due to vitamin D resistant rickets(it is a bone disease in which it does not respond to vitamin D treatment) and vitamin D resistant hypophosphatemic osteomalacia (it is a condition where the bone gets soften).
This medicine contains ‘Sodium Acid Phosphate’, which combines with the calcium ,which in turn leads to the calcium level going back to normal.Not only this but it also increases the potassium level in the blood .Thus,SODIUM ACID PHOSPHATE helps in curing low potassium and high calcium levels.
Its is generally advisable to that you take Sodium Acid Phosphate for the duration that is prescribed by your doctor as its intake duration is dependent upon your medical condition.There are some cases ,where a person has experienced few side effects like stomach ache,diarrhoea,abdominal pain ,nausea and vomiting .These side effects are not to be worried about as they get cured within short span of time by their own as no medication is required but if they remain persistent it is advisable that you visit your doctor.
