MASTIGON Bolus is a combination of medicine which is used in the treatment of Mastitis. It belongs to the class of medication known as antibiotics and intramammary. Mastitis is a condition that severely irritates the udder and mammary glands of dairy cattle. It typically happens as an immunological reaction to bacterial invasion of the teat canal but can also happen when the udder is damaged by chemicals, mechanical damage, or heat. Directions and Precautions 

This medication is given through mouth, it is a short term course and the dosage is directed by the doctor. Give this medicine by mixing it in drinking water or by mixing in their feed. By placing your fingers in the corner of their lips and beneath their upper lip, you may reach across their head and open their mouth. Their head should remain slightly raised and facing you. Keep their head raised until they swallow the bolus completely. Before giving this medicine to them inform the veterinary doctor if they have any previous allergies and also inform them that the animal is pregnant. Do not stop the treatment inbetween it may worsen the infection or symptoms may return.
